Recycle your old electronics with Habitat for Humanity this Saturday!

Got a garage or office full of old computers, printers, video game systems or cell phones? Is your place of employment looking for a way to properly dispose of out-dated electronic devices? Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins and Cortland Counties wants to help you clean out!

Back-to-Democracy will be hosting an Electronic Waste Collection Day and 50% of the proceeds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins and Cortland Counties, towards the construction of our 2012 build in Trumansburg.

What's accepted: phones, cell phones, AV equipment, microwaves, vacuums, fans, electric heaters, coffee makers (no glass pots), blenders (no glass pitchers), computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, cables, video game systems, laptops, scanners, printers, fax machines, copiers, VCRs, DVD platers, TVs, digital converter boxes and more (no large appliances, please)!

All items collected will be processed by REACT recycling of Horseheads. REACT will divert over 95% of the collected material from the landfill to become useable product again - a win for the environment, a win for Habitat, and a win for you and your cleaned out office!

Where: Trumansburg Farmers Market
When: Saturday, October 22, 9am - 3pm
